We got walloped by that ginormous (yes, that IS a word) storm that came through on Friday night. We lost power around 10:30 Friday night but luckily, it was back on when we got up Saturday morning. Unfortunately, our friends haven't been as fortunate. Many are still without power this morning. We had 2 families stop by for dinner and another family ended up spending the night due to ridiculously hot temps in their house. Apparently, we are one of the few families that have power. We are thankful and happy to help out. We've taken milk, ice cream, meat, and other perishables for safe keeping until their power comes back on.
Our only damage was a limb impaled the roof of our shed. Not to worry... my incredibly talented husband honed his roofing skills and repaired the gaping hole in a few hours. Oh, and he fixed the dryer, too!
