Today was a day of firsts and lasts.
Today was the first day as a Lt. Col. for Scott. He pinned on Lt. Col. this morning. He reaffirmed his oath while flying his last flight in the F-35. The kids and I were able to listen to him recite his oath over the radio in the squadron. It was a unique experience and was pretty amazing. As is tradition, we welcomed him back by spraying him down with champagne and fire extinguishers for his fini flight.
It was a bitter sweet day.
