WHY is it that when Connor starts puking,has a high fever and a sore throat it's always strep? And WHY is it that this always happens on the weekend when I have to go to Urgent Care 40 miles away and wait for 3 hours to be seen and then another hour at CVS to get the antibiotics? And WHY does all of this usually happen when my husband is TDY? What's up with that? It's like the sickness KNOWS it's the time to strike. And WHY when I have tons of laundry to do does the washing machine decide to move off it's pad thingies (with a sopping wet load of clothes inside)so that it's completely lopsided and won't wash?
I'm thinking since Scott is in Vegas I should probably tell him to stay away from the black jack tables for a few days until things improve.
We did have a good visit with my parents. They left at O'dark early this morning to head back to Texas. Thanks for a great visit Mom and Dad. And thanks to Kelly (my nurse friend) for encouraging me to take him to Urgent Care this morning AND to Joey for coming to help me wrestle the washing machine back to it's proper place.

when my kids were little, they ALWAYS managed to get sick when DH was out of town or otherwise unreachable.
The good news about strep is that once you get the antibiotics going they start to get better... unlike the "it's a virus, you just have to wait it out."
