10 Years Old
My baby girl turned 10 today. Unbelievable.
It's been a busy day. We've spent the day getting ready for a birthday party/sleep over this evening. I spent this morning decorating the cupcakes, cleaning, and doing last minute things. We had hot dogs for dinner and the girls are painting flower pots as I type. When they dry we'll plant petunias in them for them to take home tomorrow.
Scott also had a busy day. They are filming Transformers 2 and he and a few other guys in his squadron are extras in the movie. He gets to scramble to the jets and then they may want footage of them taxiing. Between takes, he made time to make any 10 year old military kid's birthday complete. He took her to get her military ID. Now she can buy things at the commissary and the BX without me. She was SO excited to show me. Connor has said no less than 8 times since they got home "Yeah, and Jessica can take ME to the BX to buy things." He thinks her turning 10 is big news!
We leave for a week of family camp on Sunday.

Bill wasn't an extra in Transformers 2 but he was able to take us to the set so that we could look around. Well, that was the plan until my son decided that it was all too frightening. So instead of risking ruining their shots with his screams (since we were torturing him, I guess), we left. But we have a picture of Bill standing next to Optimus Prime! So cool! And he also met Michael Bay and Josh Duhamel!
