We stayed at a beautiful B&B in Solvang called The Meadowlark Inn. It was a beautiful property. We had breakfast both mornings and last night we had fire in the fire pit and enjoyed sitting around it until late last night. Jessica and Connor thought it was fun getting to stay up late outside by the fire. We shopped in the beautiful quaint little town of Solvang. They had a blast visiting what had to be every single toy store in Solvang. We also stopped at a miniature horse farm for the kids. They had tons of horses and lots of new babies to look at.
We saw several vineyards that were featured in the movie Sideways. I wasn't a big fan of the movie but the scenery was gorgeous. We visited the Firestone Winery which is owned by Andrew Firestone who was featured on the ABC's TV show The Bachelor. Last time our friends were there, they saw him and he gave them a private tour of the winery. No such luck for us this weekend, but it was a beutiful place. Jessica and Connor really liked this winery because right there walking all over the bars was a cute white Kitty named, "Firestone." (Original name, huh?) She was a sweet kitty and let the kids pet her. It was funny to see the looks of all the people watching this cat walk the length of the bar like it owned the place. I think some of them were kind of grossed out. Hands were covering their wine glasses to keep the cat hair that was flying all over the place out of their glasses. The kids thought it was great.
