And puppy makes 5.......

Meet Roxy, the newest member of our family.

I know, I know, I have lost my mind. Believe me, I've told myself same thing.

The kids have been asking for over a year for a "furry pet." We tried the fish and they didn't like it because they couldn't pet the fish. So we told them we couldn't get one until we moved to California. In July, we were killing time and went into a pet store. We fell in love with a chocolate lab, which we named Maggie. This puppy had a great temperament and so we decided we couldn't pass her up.
Since our lease states we can have pets with their permission and a pet deposit, we decided to ask. Well, they said no because they didn't want a "puppy" because of the damage they do. A few days later, we asked them to reconsider and they did, but the puppy was sold. We were all very sad. We vowed not to even LOOK at any more dogs until we moved to California.

Roxy belongs to our neighbor and they also have another yellow lab puppy named Oscar. The two of them are just too much for her sanity. She new we were going to get a dog in California and knew we'd give her a good home. So, she asked us if we wanted her. She's a great dog, already potty trained and kennel trained. They've already done the hardest part! They are going to keep her for us until we move in a few months. We can go over anytime we want to see her and take her for walks.

The trip to California will probably take a wee bit longer.....
