We so throughly enjoyed moving ourselves 15 mos. ago from our condemned house to a new house that we've jumped at the chance to do it yet again. We were offered a substantially larger house than we are currently living in. Housing called and made the offer on Friday so we took it.
SO yet again, we begin the arduous task of moving again. We moved a few of our things over yesterday and I asked myself, "Do we really NEED 4 tubs of Christmas decorations???" Hmmm.....
Yesterday was not only moving day but also my dear daughter's 11th birthday! We celebrated her birthday with a slumber party on Thursday night. She had 5 friends over to help her celebrate. We painted, had cake and ice cream, did some karaoke, and watched a movie. Lots of giggling and laughing accompanied the all night event.
I think she had a good celebration. I got little tiny canvas bags and embroidered flowers and each guest's name on their bag.
Scott is TDY again for part of this week so I'll do what moving I can. Should be a fun filled week!

We were thinking about Jessica yesterday! Turning 11 on the 11th! Wow, another move. Just keep thinking about how much room you will have at the new place! Who will your new neighbors be? I need to call you so we can catch up! Miss y'all ! Happy Birthday sweet Jessica!
Yesterday was my dad's birthday. The best of people are born on 7-11.
Happy Birthday Jessica!! Good luck on the move too....that's always such a grueling task...especially in the heat of the summer! It's been 110-116 here...yikes!!
Moving so often must force you to purge and pare down. I can't imagine excavating the corners of my attic and basement!
Your kids are beautiful!
Thank you~
You would THINK that moving that often would make you purge. It should! When we PCS and the packers move us, it's more tempting to just let them pack it all and not mess with it. I always say, "When we unpack this.. I'm going to go through it," but it usually doesn't happen.
However, this time, the kids have already said, "I don't want this anymore," so we've got a huge pile of toys to get rid of. Maybe that's because they didn't think it was worth carrying and loading and unloading it. Maybe we should DITY move more often! :-)
I am just jealous that you only have 4 containers of Christmas stuff... I have many more. I have a feeling that I may have many less by the time that Steve moves all of them again. I might be the proud owner of no Christmas stuff. Happy Packing!
